WEIRD: Cobra hides in man's car

A man in Thailand heard strange noise coming from his car engine, only to take a look at the hood to fine a deadly animal, COBRA.

According to 55 year old Thaichai Kongnimit, he parked his Nissan car outside his home in Surat Thani province on Wednesday, and not quite long, he was hearing noise from his car trunk as he prepares to drive to the store.

The 55 year old said as soon as he opened the car trunk, he slammed it shut immediately as he encountered a 15-foot long cobra.

He said, "The cobra could have killed me. I opened the bonnet to look down into the engine and I was about [12 inches] from its face." 

Local authorities were later summoned, and a professional snake-catcher, Tanawat Num was called upon to come to the rescue. According to Tanawat, the capture went without any difficulty.

Authorities have said the snake will soon be released and taken back to the wild.
